Weekend Warriors Invite You to CHS Leaf Rake This Sat at 9am!

Everyone is invited this Saturday, Nov 16 from 9am-Noon at CHS for the "leaf rake" edition of the CHS Weekend Warriors. Please feel free to bring your own rakes, brooms and leaf blowers as there are plenty of leaves to go around on the grounds.

Please join us for our CHS PTA meeting located in room 217 at CHS.

As always, Principal Wadkins will kick us off with a CHS update, including updates on the new cell phone policy. We will then be discussing plans for Back to School Night, our October parent social event, and timelines and budget for Student and Teacher grants.

All 2023-24 CHS PTA Members are welcome to join our final PTA meeting of the year where we will elect next year’s President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. You must be a current PTA member to vote (meaning you paid your Oregon PTA membership fee for this school year.)

The Cleveland High School PTA is planning for the 2024-25 school year. If you are interested in learning more about what the PTA does, is planning to do, or ways to get involved, then please join us for a no-commitment happy hour!

First Annual Cleveland Pickleball Tournament

Please join us for a conversation with Principle Jo Ann Wadkins for an in depth overview of CHS Mental Health Resources, including the staff and programs that support our kids and how to access these services.  Jo Ann will be joined by a student with the CHS Mental Health Advocacy Club for an introduction to how this group is offering peer:peer support.  Parents and caregivers will receive information on how to access help for their child and family within the Cleveland Community and beyond.    All are welcome, please join us and learn more about the PTA activities.

CHS Safety and Mental Health Forum’ will be held on Jan 18 at 6:30 pm in the CHS Auditorium with PPS Administration representatives present to discuss district policies and answer questions.

From Principal Wadkins:  I would like to invite you to a community forum, co-hosted by the PTA, on January 18th, that we’ve been planning for months to discuss the work PPS, Cleveland, and other community and city leaders are doing to prevent gun violence. Equally as important, we will share the trauma-informed response PPS staff take to these types of incidents. The forum will be held in the auditorium from 6:30 - 8:00 PM.
